Is Google Take Out is a Backup Tool?
Yes, Google Takeout is a free service provided by Google that backs up all of your Google account’s 51 kind of data and you can download into one file.
It can be a mails, you tube videos, Google Drive Files, contacts, calendar, photos, data about registration and account activity etc.
Google Take out is a whole package of data what are all the you tube videos you have watched, uploaded drive files ,google maps data. You will back up your data by .zip or tgz files
Purpose of Google Takeout?
- Free up space on your Google Drive by archiving old documents to physical hard drives
- Create redundant archives of important files to store on other cloud services
Limitations of Google take out?
- In Drive, we can’t download the files which are in shared documents.
- It has a limit of 2 to 3 archives per day – Creating a Google Takeout archive for Gmail is limited to three attempts a day and up to seven per week.
- If internet connection is lost or down, the download progress is interrupted and cannot be resumed.
Procedure for Back up:
- Sign in Google Takeout and choose Deselect all. Select the item(s) you want and choose OK > Next Step.
- Under Delivery Method, select where to download the archive. Make selections under Frequency and File type & size.
- Select Create export. When the archive is complete, Takeout emails you. Select Download Archive in that email.
